JD Saunas
Installation
Most JD Saunas products are supplied for customer or contractor installation unless you purchase a separate installation service. This page outlines typical requirements.
1. Outdoor saunas
- Level, load-bearing base (concrete pad, paved area or engineered deck as suitable for the model weight).
- Clear access from the kerb to the final position — panels are manageable for two people on many kits; pre-assembled units may need plant.
- Correct heater electrics by a qualified electrician. Wood-burning models need safe clearances and flue rules observed.
- Check local planning rules for outbuildings and proximity to boundaries.
2. Indoor / infrared cabins
- Usually lighter and easier to site in a spare room, garage or gym.
- Confirm doorway widths and ceiling height before delivery.
- Follow the manufacturer’s electrical requirements exactly.
3. Hot tubs and cold tubs
- Need a solid base, safe water fill/drain plan, and often a dedicated electrical circuit.
- Chemical and cover care are your responsibility after handover.
4. Our support
- Email photos of your site to support@jdsaunas.com and we will advise on typical needs for your model.
- We can discuss optional installation or commissioning where available — ask when you order.
- Damage from incorrect third-party installation is not covered as a free defect claim.
